MODULEPlanner · Keywords · Clusters · Briefs

The bridge between
research and writing.

Planner takes raw keyword research — whatever you have — and turns it into SAG-scored clusters, prioritised content ideas, and briefs the Writer module can execute without handholding.

What Planner does

Three jobs most teams do across five tools. Planner does them in one.

Keyword expansion, cluster scoring, brief generation. Most teams stitch together Ahrefs + a spreadsheet + ChatGPT + Google Docs + Trello. Planner collapses the whole chain into one workflow, all SAG-aware.

Keyword expansion

Feed Planner seed keywords, competitor URLs, or an Ahrefs export. It returns a scored keyword library — ranked by semantic distance to your active clusters, search volume, and opportunity.

  • Seeds, competitor URLs, or Ahrefs CSV inputs
  • Scored by SAG cluster alignment + opportunity
  • Difficulty and volume metrics retained from source

AI clustering

The clustering engine groups keywords into SAG-compliant ecosystems — not shallow topic groupings. Every cluster gets a type, a hub-page target, and a content plan.

  • SAG methodology, not flat semantic similarity
  • Each cluster typed: product, condition, feature, brand, info
  • Minimum 5, maximum 20 keywords per cluster enforced

Brief generation

Approved clusters feed idea generation, and approved ideas feed brief creation. By the time Writer picks up a task it knows the cluster, the content type, the structure, and the intent.

  • Content type inferred from cluster type
  • Structure scaffold: headings, sections, FAQ hooks
  • Cluster context passed to Writer automatically
The three inputs

Start with whatever you have. Planner adapts.

Most SEO research tools force you into their workflow. Planner accepts every input format real teams already have and maps all three into the same cluster output.

Seed keywords

Drop in a list — 10 keywords or 10,000. Planner expands each seed into semantic variants, validates against search volume data, and deduplicates across clusters.

  • Paste, CSV import, or API push
  • Auto-expansion to semantic variants
  • Volume + difficulty retained if provided

Competitor URLs

Point Planner at a competitor's site or specific URLs. It extracts the keyword footprint, maps to your SAG clusters, and flags gap opportunities.

  • Single URL or full-domain crawl
  • Keyword footprint extracted per page
  • Gap analysis against your active blueprint

Ahrefs / GSC exports

Upload a CSV export from Ahrefs, or connect GSC and Planner auto-ingests the data. Metrics flow through untouched — volume, difficulty, current rankings, click data.

  • Ahrefs CSV format supported natively
  • GSC Search Analytics integration direct
  • Existing rankings preserved in scoring

WHERE IT SITS IN THE PIPELINE

Planner is Stage 1. It reads from SAG, writes to Writer.

SAG defines the structure. Planner populates it with real keywords and turns clusters into actionable briefs. Writer picks up briefs. The whole pipeline is a handoff chain.

0

Read SAG blueprint

Clusters, attributes, hub-page targets already defined.

1

Ingest inputs

Seeds, competitor URLs, Ahrefs CSV, GSC data.

2

Expand + score keywords

Semantic variants, SAG alignment score, opportunity rank.

3

Assign to clusters

AI clustering respects SAG methodology rules.

4

Generate ideas

Typed per cluster: hub, supporting, comparison, FAQ.

5

Produce briefs

Structure scaffold, intent, target keywords, link targets.

Stop guessing what to write next.

Connect your keyword research, let Planner score the clusters, and hand Writer a brief that already knows exactly what the page needs to do.
